The lines you highlighted stood out to me as well but insofar-as I have felt and feel this way in life. I kept thinking about going to school while I read the bullets, and how one teacher stands out for belittling the fact I asked questions in his class...maybe I slowed him down, but he shamed me for asking. It chips away, at your confidence, intellect, self esteem, until one day you don't ask anymore questions at all.

I also liked when she wrote when there aren't anymore tales to tell like that we can talk about 'biology'....
