I didn't bother complaining. I went through that with Ubuntu, and got similar responses. I'm now a tolerably happy user of Mint.

I don't have an alternative to Firefox - I can only use Chrome when I'm OK with Google data mining the transaction :-( What really bugs me is that Firefox and Chrome now look far too similar - if I can't tell them apart at a glance, and have them both on my screen (common at work, as the new employer uses a lot of google tools) I'm likely to use the wrong one.

90% of UI designers should be fired, and most of those should retrain for a new career. They copy each other's bad ideas and listen only to a small group of supportive people, while ignoring real user feedback. In some companies, 100% of the UI designers should be fired. Wikimedia foundation is another example.
